Registered Nurse and Adult Nurse Practitioner Mary OHalloran Feeley will discuss many topics related to Palliative Care including: what palliative care is, how a palliative care team works, goals for care, and how to complete a health care proxy form. Registration begins March 23.
Wednesday, April 30
Penn Hongthong is returning to demonstrate Thai cooking. She will make Lemongrass Soup with Shrimp, Red Curry Chicken, Flat Noodles with Peanuts and Marinated Tofu (Pad Thai). There will be a tasting after. Please bring your own soft drink. Registration begins March 30 for OB-EN residents, and on April 16 for non-residents space permitting.

The Mystery of Johannes Vermeer

Art History lecturer Louise Cella Caruso will be here to give an illustrated lecture highlighting the true artistic genius of Vermeer. His works, such as Head of a Girl with a Pearl Earring and Allegory of Painting are timeless and remain as wondrous today as to viewers in the 17th century. However, the meanings of his works are shrouded in mystery. Join us and learn more! Registration begins April 19.

Linda Watkin, a local Royal lecturer will discuss the great machine that was the English manor house and how both the aristocracy and their servants were an integral part of the household. Her lecture will include a short DVD clip, followed by a Q&A. Registration begins May 10 for OB-EN residents and on May 27 for non-residents, space permitting.
Growing Through Grief

Loss can come in many forms - death of a loved one, loss of a job, change in the health or physical capabilities of ourselves or our family members, divorce and more. This workshop will teach people some skills they can use while experiencing loss, the benefits of working with support groups, and how coaching can assist. Presented by Beth Bucheister, MA, Certified Professional Coach (CPC). Registration begins May 11 for OB-EN residents and on May 28 for non-residents, space permitting.

Lori Green, RN, certified CPR instructor and former EMT will instruct you in the life-saving techniques of infant & child CPR and Choking. $35 fee per person, checks payable to Lori Green. Registration begins May 21 for OB-EN residents and on June 7 for non-residents, space permitting.

Setting Up Your New Windows 8 Computer

In this hands-on class, learn how to set up your new computer to enhance your work environment. Learn how to create tiles, icons and folders on the start screen and desktop, get apps from the store, use display properties, put files where you need them, understand drives, folders and files, set up and install new programs, and much more. Registration begins May 30 for OB-EN residents, and on June 16 for non-residents, space permitting.
